During a flight or fight situation, some choose the latter, which is exactly what one 8-year-old girl did to save her father.
An armed robber walked into Big Discount Liquors in Maplewood and threatened Store Manager Leo and his daughter. Similar to his kid, Leo acted on his fight response and wrestled the loser thief to the ground. Subsequently, his kid grabbed a baseball bat and did what she had to do.

According to CBS:
Thirty-seven-year-old Conchobhar Morrell, of St. Paul, was charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery in Ramsey County on Monday.
Surveillance video from the store shows Morrell wearing an Amazon uniform and reaching in his pocket before setting a realistic BB gun on the counter.
"He (Morrell) put the gun on the table, he asked me to give him all the money and everything in the register I told him yes—I'll give you everything," Leo said.
Leo did not care about the money, he was only worried about the safety of his daughter.
Surveillance video shows Morrell walking behind the counter gun in hand.
Leo punches the man, wrestling him to the floor. Seconds later, you see his brave little girl with a bat in hand.
His daughter hit the suspect a few times before running away. Leo said he didn't even know she tried to help until he watched the surveillance video back.
She showed more bravery than many adults would, as the gun did not even phase her.
"I'm so proud of her she's so strong," Leo said. That day, I just wanted to cry. When I saw the video, I didn't expect she'd do that. I expect a little girl crying, screaming."
When Leo asked her why she would take such a risk, she said she loved him.
The bond these two have is heartwarming and proves the importance of having a good father figure. If she is this brave at such a young age, imagine what she will accomplish as she gets older.
That said, when eight-year-olds are sick of crime you know things are bad.
