Marco Rubio is always strong when it comes to the 2nd Amendment and gun rights (see Marco Rubio Spanks Matt Lauer on Gun Control). But he absolutely OWNED this answer from Thursday night's debate.

Look, the Second Amendment is not an option. It is not a suggestion. It is a right of every American to protect themselves and their families… I’m convinced that this president would get rid of the Second Amendment if he could … None of these incidents that the president points to as the reason why he’s doing these things would have been prevented. You know why? Because criminals don’t buy their guns from a gun show. They don’t buy them from a collector… Let me tell you. ISIS and terrorists do not get their guns from a gun show.

Behind Cruz's exchange with Donald Trump about the stupid birther non-issue, this one was stand up in your chair, get up on your desk, and yell at the top of your lungs: "HELL YEAH!"

Rubio is right. The Second Amendment isn't an option. Plus, terrorists don't go to gun shows, they're not always never going to buy their guns legally either. The gun show loophole is a giant distraction and a total myth. It doesn't exist.

President Obama hates The Second Amendment more than Biden hates Indian 7-11 clerks. He would destroy it if he could, just look at how he regularly talks about guns and their owners. The look on his face is pure disdain. His voice drips with it. Also, it's the face of a chain-smoker.

Both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz turned in very strong performances. It's going to be interesting where both candidates place in a few weeks in Iowa. This race is just getting started. Start your engines. Also, contrast Rubio's answer with Obama's recent statements on firearms below. Then... draw your own conclusions.
