County Attorney Refuses To Extradite Murder Suspects Back To Weak-On-Crime NYC: “I’m Putting The Victims First”
Violent criminals are often released because of Alvin Bragg’s progressive compassion. But the problem with progressive compassion is that it’s not compassionate at all. It’s pro-criminal and anti-victim. You can’t have a progressive prosecutor and expect crime to be prosecuted. That’s not how that works. But fortunately, we still have some attorneys in this country that are actually doing their job.
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said that an accused killer of a woman who fled to Arizona, and then stabbed two more people, will not be extradited to New York where it is likely he will be let back into the public as he seeks more victims.
According to The Post Millennial:
Mitchell expressed concern that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would simply let 26-year-old Raad Almansoori back out onto the street, and claimed it was safer for all Americans if he was kept under her watch.
"We are going to keep him here," Mitchell said during a press conference. "Having observed the treatment of violent criminals in the New York area by the Manhattan DA there, Alvin Bragg, it's safer to keep him here and keep him in custody so he can't be out doing this to individuals either in our state, our county, or anywhere in the United States."
On Thursday, Bragg responded to Mitchell's comments, questioning her motives and accusing her of "playing political games in a murder case."
"Her reasoning?" he said. "Not because that's what the law dictates, not because that's what advances justice, not because of a concern for victims, not at the request of the NYPD, but rather, plain and simple, old-fashioned grandstanding and politics."
"She professes concern that a murder suspect in Manhattan will be released?" he continued. "I don't know what they do in Arizona, but I know that here in this county, New York County, we routinely seek and get warrants in our murder cases."
Let’s read that last part again. “We routinely seek and get remands in our murder cases.”
That is an incredibly foolish statement due to the fact the suspect was released without bail in the first place and made his way to the other side of the country. But Progressives don’t really let facts get in the way of their lies, no matter how blatant it is.
When pressed on the widespread view that he is not tough enough on criminals, Bragg pointed to his data, ignoring the numerous instances where suspects were allowed to walk free.
After being caught for stabbing two more victims, it has been reported that he informed officials that he intends to seek and harm other potential victims.
But even when the evidence is so painfully glaring, prosecutors cannot seem to keep some of the most violent suspects in jail. But who does that truly benefit? Not law-abiding citizens, that’s for sure.
Mitchell responded to Bragg's comments saying that the actions she was taking were "putting the victims first" in the case.
The problem with people like Bragg is that he puts criminals first and in fact, sees them as just victims of the system who should not be held accountable for their actions. But the problem with that is those policies end up leading to destruction, lawlessness, and death, to say the very least.
It’s comical when Braggs claims that it's Mitchell playing politics because everyone reading this knows exactly who is being politically fueled when it comes to prosecution, or lack thereof.
