Glenn Youngkin provided an example to follow to fight CRT. Ron DeSantis has fought tirelessly against the sexualized education of young children with the “Parental Rights in Education” bill. And now, comments made last year by the North Carolina lieutenant governor have resurfaced to provide an example for Republicans to push against the transgender movement, at least where the black community is concerned.

“Here’s something I’m not supposed to say: Ain’t but two genders. […] You can go to the doctor and get cut up, you can go down to the dress shop and get made up, you can go down there and get drugged up, but at the end of the day, you are just a drugged-up, dressed-up, made-up, cut-up man or woman.”

It would probably be a bit difficult for most politicians to deliver such words so naturally in such a venue, but Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson sure knows how to deliver the truth in a manner capable of getting the entire congregation fired up, doesn’t he?

I don’t think we can expect Ron DeSantis to channel the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr at a rally anytime soon, but the message is one that obviously resonates and will continue to resonate as we approach the midterms and look forward toward 2024. Frankly, I would rather no politician attempts to affect their best southern preacher accent. It never goes well. Just ask Hillary Clinton.

Yeah, it’s just cringy.

But, as I said, the message resonates. Lia Thomas has been in the headlines day after day since robbing young women of their opportunity to win in competitions for which they’ve worked hard their entire lives. And while Thomas isn’t the first transgender individual to do so, it’s been enough to jar people out of their stupors, forcing them to reckon with the injustice of allowing biological males to compete against women.

I’ve been much more concerned about the little kids identifying as trans for the past few years, but at least people are finally waking up to the insanity of the transgender movement.
