Add Mark Wahlberg to the growing list of people getting the hell out of California. After the state has elected the same leaders over and over again for decades and has caused the state to become unaffordable and unlivable, people are leaving to give their families a chance at a better life elsewhere.

Wahlberg chose Nevada. He explained to The Talk why he felt now was the time.

Wahlberg didn't mention any political issues like Joe Rogan and Elon Musk did when they fled California. Though, moving to Nevada, he is hoping "after this Gubernatorial election we get legislation to pass a big tax credit" that would help attract film production to Nevada.

(Side note, Republican Joe Lombardo is up in the gubernatorial polls by 1.8% (RCP). On the side of that side note, Republican Adam Laxalt is up in the US Senate race by 1.7% (RCP). You know, for what it's worth and all that.)

Wahlberg is fleeing California for a better life. Not unlike how California Governor Gavin Newsom's in-laws fled California to go live with Ron DeSantis. The actor wants his family and his businesses to be able to thrive. Neither can do that in California.

[I want to] be able to give my kids a better life and follow their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my youngest son as a golfer — this made a lot more sense for us.

Wahlberg is one of a small group of A-listers who isn't afraid to call out Hollywood celebrities for living in a bubble and being out of touch with normal people. He's also not afraid to speak openly and passionately about his faith, another rarity in the entertainment industry.
