You know those dumb Facebook status updates your friend shares that say "if you don't share this, Facebook is going to start deleting your account?" Don't share those. They are stupid and untrue.

Instead, share this little nugget in which Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg admits to a world leader that they are working on censoring posts.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was overheard confronting Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg over incendiary posts on the social network, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, amid complaints from her government about anti-immigrant posts in the midst of Europe's refugee crisis.

On the sidelines of a United Nations luncheon on Saturday, Merkel was caught on a hot mic pressing Zuckerberg about social media posts about the wave of Syrian refugees entering Germany, the publication reported.

The Facebook CEO was overheard responding that "we need to do some work" on curtailing anti-immigrant posts about the refugee crisis. "Are you working on this?" Merkel asked in English, to which Zuckerberg replied in the affirmative before the transmission was disrupted.

Let's talk about "hate speech." The thing is that "hate speech" is not a real thing. It's not clearly defined within legal parameters. But there is one side of the political spectrum (let's call them 'liberal progressives') who seem to think that any opinion they disagree with is "hate speech." When given the chance, leftists always disproportionately abuse systems of censorship.

Conservatives tend to want as open of a discussion as possible, with as many voices available as possible, while leftists want none. They want to express their opinions while systematically keeping their opposition from being afforded the opportunity to speak. How have they done so in the past? By screaming "racist!" "homophobic!" "sexist" "transphobic!" or my new favorite "fat phobic!"

"Phobia" is actually in the dictionary. Look it up.

When was the last time you saw a Conservative invent a new "phobia" to try and win an argument? I don't see Ted Cruz calling Barack Obama "Constitution-phobic." I don't see Marco Rubio calling all Bernie Sanders voters "Rich-phobic!" It's a tactic used exclusively by the authoritarian left. Period.

Speaking of the left, it's also important to note that unlike the USA (that evil, right-wing nation), the citizens of Germany (that leftist Utopia to which Democrats constantly point as a beacon of hope) are not actually legally entitled to disparage the state. That whole "freedom of speech" thing? Yeah, it doesn't exist in Germany. It's not even a thing. As a matter of fact, many people don't realize that "freedom of speech" in its purest form is a uniquely American ideal. Germany's reasoning is that they wanted to make any "pro-Hitler" sentiment illegal, thus utilizing censorship to stop another Nazi uprising. So in trying to go the other way on that one, they've merely come full-circle.

No more authoritarianism! We'll enforce it by authoritarianism.

A world leader was caught talking to the head of a multimedia corporation about censoring posts that aren't helpful to that particularly world leader's government. Zuckerberg obliged.

Now read this post again but this time replace "Angela Merkel" with "Hillary Clinton."
