Marvel Studios released the first trailer for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie. To the excitement of comic fans nationwide. I actually am really looking forward to this. Yes, a lot of the Marvel movies have been "paint by the numbers." They really exist just to set up other movies. But Captain Marvel was my favorite graphic novel I've read in a while. The tagline "Higher, Further. Faster" was actually the name of one of the books. If the movie is in the spirit and smart humor of the comics, and you get to see as many levels to the character as a popcorn movie will allow, this should be a great flick.

Most importantly, maybe it'll get Marvel to finally release some dolls. I have a six-year-old niece, and so far I've only been able to get her the DC Super Hero Girls dolls. C'mon, Marvel. Is it 2018 or 1958?
