Under Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, it is an understatement to say that we have become gripped by an unprecedented border. Subsequently, his leadership has contributed to a de facto open border.

We have all seen countless reports of convicted criminals, cartel members, and even terrorists slipping through in mass. Mayorkas has not said he will be changing course. He has yet to admit any failure.

So what has he done?

Well, in what may be seen to some as complete contempt for our immigration laws, Mayorkas has focused his efforts on ordering agents not to “misgender” border crossers with “incorrect pronouns.”

“The meanings of the terms may change over time.” At least that is according to the Border Protection Guide to facilitating effective communication with individuals who identify as LGBTQ.

Biden’s border chief is now ordering border guards not to presume the correct sex of illegal migrants.

An X post from the Oversight Project at the Heritage Foundation reads: “We just obtained documents directing personnel to only use woke language when encountering individuals invading the United States.”

The order requests border guards to ignore biological distinction and acquiesce to the lie that “gender” is malleable.

Mayorkas' priorities show just how blind he is to the consequences of his border policies.

“If a longer dialogue is occurring, it may be appropriate to ask the individual their preferred pronoun. For example, state ‘I would like to be respectful — what name and pronoun would you like me to use when addressing you?’ Avoid asking ‘What is your sex?’ unless operationally necessary,” the instruction states.

And under no circumstance are guards recommended to “Use he, him, she, her” pronouns until “more information about, or provided by, the individual.”

"I guess it wasn’t enough for the Biden administration to betray the Border Patrol by purposefully unleashing chaos on the southern border," Howell Project Director Mike Howell told Fox News. "Now, the radical political leadership is enrolling agents in a forced-speech program to call illegal aliens by their preferred pronouns."

"Key terms" are listed next to the following: bisexual, gay, gender, identity, gender non-conforming, intersex, non-binary, queer, questioning, sex assigned, orientation, transgender, transgender woman, and transgender man.

It also states these"are not universal" and that some "may define these terms differently and the meanings of the terms may change over time."

Americans have entrusted Mayorkas with border security and the best he can throw out us is a pronoun policy.

According to a recent Gallop poll, 39 percent of Americans think the situation at the border is a “crisis,” 33 percent think it is a “major problem,” 22 percent a “minor problem” and only 5 percent believe it is “not a problem."

There is no denying that our immigration system is broken. Some have even argued that there is no doubt this is all by design. But at the very least, I think we can all agree that this is one of the worst self-inflicted crises we have ever seen at our border.

Mayorkas' behavior is a reck­less disregard for all harm done and a slap in the face to all Americans.
