Jewish Students Attacked At School, Forced To Sign Gag Order So They Don't Discuss It
Four Jewish middle schoolers at Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) were reportedly attacked by another student, according to Libs of TikTok. After the first unprecedented attack committed by Hamas on Israel, the student allegedly said “Revenge is beautiful” and “All Jews should be killed.”
According to Libs of TikTok, the school investigated and decided to give the perpetrators no punishment, and the school made the victims sign a gag order to not discuss the incident further.
"Other threatening and horrific comments were made by this same student to other Jewish students both in and out of class," according to an X post from Libs of TikTok. “Unfortunately, we discovered vicious anti-Israel/antisemitic social media posts by the student's father, so we know this hate speech is coming from the student's home.”
After receiving multiple complaints, the leadership ran an investigation and came to the conclusion that these comments were political. They closed the investigation with limited action, according to the post.
It appears that the only action that was taken was requiring Jewish students and their parents to sign a "gag order" so that they would not talk about the incident to anyone.
According to reports, the student is still in school and continues to try to intimidate the Jewish students.
“They closed the investigation with limited action. Shockingly, they took action requiring the Jewish students and their parents to sign a "gag order" that they will not talk to anyone in the school, out of school or on social media about the incident,” according to the X post.
Ironically, the ADL of California congratulated the school a few months ago on being a school with “no place for hate.”
The most shocking thing here is that the school seems to be protecting a bully while trying to shut up any victims. Had this been the other way around and Jewish people bullied a Palestinian student, well I think we all know how different the outcome would have probably been. Or just any other minority for that matter, anyone other than a Jewish student, we know how differently the school would likely respond.
What if the Jewish students said, “All Muslims should be killed?” Would they make the Muslim students sign a gag order?
We know the answer to that.
A big issue here is whether or not the school even has a right to issue a gag order. Hopefully, no one signed that. But even if they did sign it, I highly doubt it could legally be enforced anyway.
If what is alleged is true, then the legal advice alone is extremely embarrassing for the District.
Why not condemn the students' comments? Why focus more effort on trying to shut up the victims in this situation?
At the very least, it appears that some school administrators need a refresher in the first amendment.
