For a political party that still tries to make aviators happen and Dark Brandon happen, it's no surprise that the Democrats tried to make Biden happen on Mean Girls Day. You wouldn't think a social media team couldn't do something cringier than the NFL turning their platform into a Taylor Swift stan site. Never sleep on the Democrats!

Here is the DERPtastic tweet in question.

"Mean Girls Day" is a reference to the fetchingly overrated 2004 movie Mean Girls about mean girls. In the movie, there is a scene where some dude turns around and asks Lindsey Lohan what day it is. She replies, "It's October 3rd."

So every October 3rd we acknowledge the movie on social media. After we wake up Green Day on October 1st. And listen, I can't hate on people who do because we all have our social media holidays we acknowledge. I celebrate Koe Wetzel every February 28th, and shotgun two beers every Austin 3/16 day.

However, I have no problem sh*ting on Democrats. They need to go back to the Hillary Clinton message of social media strategy where they spend multiple days and multiple emails to discuss how to respond to a single Marco Rubio tweet. Had the Democrats done that, it would have provided someone with the opportunity to say, "Ya know, we're gonna get roasted for this and make Biden look like a bigger nincompoop. Can we not?"

Too late. And you did.

Here's the truth about political campaigns, officials, and brands who are hardos for trending holidays. They do ZERO to help your candidate. There is not a single American who had been deciding between Joe Biden or Ron DeSantis that is now a Biden supporter because ZOMG! @DEMOCRATS TWEETED ABOUT MY FAVORITE MOVIE!

The only people who find these tweets appealing are right-wing sunovabitches like me and my peers who now have something to do during our lunch breaks.

The ironic thing is that if there was ever a party of mean girls, it would be the Democrats and the people running Joe Biden. Just ask any teen girl trying to compete in high school and college sports these days.
