Viral Looting Sensation "Meatball" Has A Message For Fans After Philly Riots, And Now Her MOM Is Getting Involved
It is Meatball Monday, and boy do we have a big bowl of Spaghetti for you.
Just for a very brief recap, a social media influencer who is known by the name “Meatball” live-streamed herself laughing and cheering as people looted stores in Philadelphia. She was subsequently arrested and a weepy-eyed mugshot soon circulated the internet. She was also charged with six felonies.
During the stream, Meatball even said, “Tell the police they’re either gonna lock me up tonight, or it’s gonna get lit, it’s gonna be a movie.”
However, shortly after 21-year-old Dayjia Blackwell was bailed out of jail by her mother, she told NBC10 that she never wants to go back to jail.
Social media influencer 'Meatball' speaks after being accused of instigating Philly lootingwww.youtube.com
"I just prefer, you know, never loot again, stay out of trouble, never go to jail," she said.
Meatball spoke to reporters on the porch of her home while wearing a T-shirt and hat both saying: “Aint nuffin,” which is her apparel company.
But the interview was cut short because Mommy Meatball continued to honk her car horn as she did not want her speaking to reporters.
She also said she was “scared and traumatized” on social media, adding, “never again in my life.”
Weird how they always regret it only after they get caught.
Grandma Meatball hopes that Baby Meatball ends up learning from all this and becomes a force for good in the world.
Her grandmother, Vashti Fields, told Fox 29, “What goes through my mind, as a grandmother, is I’m very ashamed. I’m very ashamed to see my child there, at that time. Number one, she could have gotten hurt.”
She added, “I want her to start a business and, most of all, I want her to be a positive influencer.”
Well, Meatball is making good on Grandma’s hope of her becoming an entrepreneur.
Meatball has now launched a line of merchandise flaunting her tearful mugshot as she attempts to cash in on her recent claim to fame.
She has rolled out hoodies and t-shirts under the hashtag #FreeMeatball, in black, pink and red, which are up for sale for $45 and $35.
The plus size Meatball was charged with causing/risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief, riot, aiding consummation, access to communication and disorderly conduct.
But her grandma wants you to believe she is a “loving, kind, caring, business minded go-getter.”
Oh, and part of Meatball's entrepreneurship includes having an OnlyFans.
But it is not clear what Grandma Meatball thinks of that.
Because Meatball is an outstanding citizen and contributes so much to society, it is safe to assume any criticism of her is fueled solely by racism.
At least that is what her lawyer thinks.
"It sickens me to witness the media's complicity in what can only be described as an all-out assault on black and brown people, as their character and actions are mercilessly vilified," Blackwell's lawyer, Jessica Mann, wrote on Friday, going on to accuse police of posting Blackwell's mugshot "with tears streaming down her face and her hair a mess to satisfy your need to get ‘clicks’ and to sell a salacious story."
If her client did not want attention, then I don’t know, maybe she should have not live streamed the whole thing for the world to see.
Kind of seems like she wanted nothing but attention.
"The rightful story should be one of Dayjia doing nothing more than capturing the raw reality of public outrage when she streamed the events that occurred on the night of September 26, 2023, in Philadelphia. Yet, the media seems to have forgotten the underlying catalyst for her actions. It was the dismissal of all charges against Police Officer Mark Dial, who callously murdered Eddie Irizarry. Then, the Philadelphia Police Department, with lies and deceit, attempted to cover up the heinous act," Mann wrote.
Right, because looting and destroying someone's business/livelihood is just ‘capturing the raw reality of public outrage.’
Ok, someone get this woman a red nose and horn because we got a clown show over here.
One of the most ridiculous things about all of this is that these words of remorse would have never been spoken if she was not arrested.
She cheered on and celebrated the mayhem, reveling in the destruction at the cost of innocent people who had nothing to do with the situation, repeatedly shouting, "e'rybody gotta eat!", as if she was feeding starving children.
At least it is safe to assume that she probably has a “mostly peaceful” OnlyFans.
