You may think you've reached a point where you've seen everything. I won't lie, I've been there. Once you've covered drugs that turn people into naked dragon-chasers and transracial wannabe Filipinos, it's hard to imagine anything remaining unseen. Well, we couldn't be any more wrong. This one's gonna throw you for a loop.

Many of the country’s top media outfits blamed the Democratic Party for allowing the government to shutdown instead of bridging a budget impasse with Republicans in the Senate.

“U.S. Shutdown Starts as Senate Democrats Block GOP Funding Plan” a Bloomberg headline blared early Saturday morning, referring to the Senate’s inability to agree on a variety of budgetary issues. The New York Times and AP chimed in with similar headlines.

Media outlets, meanwhile, painted the issue in harsh tones for the Democrats — one NYT headline declared: “Senate Democrat Block Bill to Keep Government Open Past Midnight, Shutdown Looms,” while the AP simply noted that, “Senate Democrats derail bill to avert shutdown.”

Wait a second, is the media being honest for a change? I can't believe my eyes.

The media is right about this one. The blame for this shutdown doesn't lie at the feet of the peeps with R's after their names. The Democrats wanted to make a statement and they certainly did. There's no doubt in anyone's minds where their allegiances lie. With border-hopping pendejos with no respect for American laws. I'm sure people will remember that in November.

I wonder what inspired this change of heart in the mainstream media. Maybe it was the embarrassment of winning Trump's fake news awards. Or maybe their noses had reached such lengths, telling another lie would cause great harm. To the ozone. Either way, this change is certainly welcome.

They don't have to like Trump, sure. But, they can hate him without lying. Keep it up and you guys might graduate to "semi-real news."
