Mike Johnson shoots straight on Medicaid reform, calls the program "not for 29-year-old males playing video games"
The only people who would have a problem stopping Medicaid abuses are likely those who take advantage of the system themselves. While most people understand that some are truly struggling to make ends meet, especially single parents, that is probably not the case for everyone benefiting from the system. So, although many people work hard to pay for their medical costs and premiums, the same cannot be said for everyone.
Medicaid is for single mothers with small children who are just trying to make it.
It's not for 29-year-old males sitting on their couch playing video games.

Medicaid was never intended for individuals who are too lazy to get a job, and the fact that people defend this, whether they realize it or not, is astonishing.
It’s unfair that some parents work extremely hard and struggle to cover expensive medical costs, while some couch potatoes receive these benefits just for existing. Moreover, those who do not benefit from Medicaid are also, in effect, funding it. This situation is even worse because they are paying for a system that provides them no benefits.
The Trump administration has repeatedly stated that it has no intention of targeting Social Security, Medicaid, or Medicare; however, that won't prevent the left from misleading the public.
According to CNN:
“The White House has made a commitment. The president said over and over and over, ‘We’re not going to touch Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid.’ We’ve made the same commitment. Now that said, what we are going to do is go into those programs and carve out the fraud, waste and abuse, and find efficiencies,” Johnson told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on “The Source.”
According to Johnson, "An estimated $50 billion is lost every year in Medicaid due to fraud alone.” There is no reason why the government should not do everything possible to stop this, especially when hard-working Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
Johnson: You know, there's about $50 billion estimated that are lost every year in medicaid, just in fraud alone. We've got to make sure we eliminate it. We have the algorithms now to do that. We have advanced technology to find it pic.twitter.com/slz7cEvRmX

So while the Dems lie and mislead the public, so much so that single mothers are horrified they will be losing benefits, that actually could not be further from the truth. And the only people who should be worried are those that have been exploiting the system. Thus, this is all much ado about nothing.
That said, it's no surprise the Dems would take something objectively good, like ending more fraud, and use it to fearmonger and gaslight the masses into believing things that couldn't be further from the truth. But that is exactly how they intend to make themselves even slightly relevant, and they couldn't be more pathetic if they tried.
