Super White Meryl Streep on Oscar Controversy: 'We're all Africans...'
Surprise! Another insane, idiotic comment birthed out of the puffed up bowels of Hollywood (read Halle Berry Moronically Talks #OscarsSoWhite). The diversity police are on patrol again. This time they set their sights on the Berlin Film Festival's lily-white panel of judges. Good thing Meryl Streep was there to defend the lack of melanin.
Streep, who is heading the jury for the first time, said she was committed to equality and inclusion of "all genders, race, ethnicities, religions".
But, like most leftist stars, only when it's convenient for her. Has anybody who has ever made a claim like this actually done anything to contribute to the "equality" of all people?
Spoiler: the answer is no. Because "equality" is a fantasy term that celebrities throw around to feel morally superior. If equality didn't already exist, Streep would have never gone from random pretty girl roles to the Iron Lady. Hate to break it to you, ladies, but if this truly were a (white) man's world, saggy old broads like Meryl Streep would have become irrelevant long ago.
Asked by an Egyptian reporter whether she understood films from the Arab world and North Africa, Streep said that while she did not know much about the region, "I've played a lot of different people from a lot of different cultures. There is a core of humanity that travels right through every culture, and after all we're all from Africa originally," she added. "Berliners, we're all Africans really."
Yep. We're all Africans. Also, playing a role in a movie makes you an expert on anything. Which means when in kitchen trouble, Meryl can help you there too. She played Julia Child. Need emergency surgery? Someone call George Clooney for a consult. Because he was a doctor on ER.
The rich and famous have been peddling these make-believe injustices from their ivory towers long enough. Now that SJW's are turning an eye of scrutiny towards Hollywood itself, people like Meryl Streep are left blundering to separate themselves from the imaginary white enemy they've been blabbing on about.
You wanted "social justice", Meryl Streep. This is what it looks like. There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing liberals come under attack from the generation of leftist monsters they helped to create.
Speaking of Meryl Streep, watch this video inspecting more of the "oppression" Hollywood's finest have to face.
