Metallica Frontman Leaves California Because of Intolerant Liberal Snobbery
Sometimes, we see something trending that fits too perfectly into our narrative. Yes, we have a narrative: leftists are elitist tosh-buttons. You know who agrees? Metallica frontman James Hetfield. He's now saying he moved out of California because of elitist snobbery.
Here he is on Joe Rogan to discuss.
"I kind of got sick of the Bay Area, the attitudes of the people there, a little bit. They talk about how diverse they are, and things like that, and it's fine if you're diverse like them. But showing up with a deer on the bumper doesn't fly in Marin County. My form of eating organic doesn't vibe with theirs."
James Hetfield perfectly summarizes leftism. San Francisco is a bastion of intolerance. Because it's chock-full of liberal snoots telling you there's a better way to live your life: specifically the liberal way. San Francisco leftists are the same as leftists anywhere else, of course. The city is just an enclave of left-leaning douchebaggery. They're all sequestered there, believing everyone else is just like them. And if you're not just like them, you're an intolerant, hateful, moronic bigot. Let them show you the better way to live.
Also, how dare you hunt your own meat. Don't you know it's better for the animal to live on a tight-quartered farm its whole life, so its food intake, lifestyle and belief system can be monitored at ALL TIMES? Hey... there's an analogy to liberalism there.
So will Metallica play at CPAC this year? You know, now that James Hetfield has come out as a non-liberal.
Not so much, because the band subscribes to the Mark Wahlberg and Gene Simmons philosophy of being a celebrity.
"We stay away from politics [and] from religion. That just seems to polarize people even more. We all have our own beliefs, but at the end of the day, we're trying to connect with people and it seems like political views don't do that as much as music does."
Bummer.
