Mexico is Defending the Country's Border Against the Migrant Caravan
Meanwhile in Mexico, the migrant caravan trucks along like a too spicy enchilada navigating your intestines as it heads to the nearest burning exit (see The Migrant Caravan is 80 Percent Young Men and Illegal Immigrant Caravan Members Attack Trump, Call Him the Antichrist). Except the caravan has hit a bit of a snag. The migrants are having problems getting through Mexico. Where, plot twist, residents are trying to protect their nation from invaders. Yes, Mexicans are protecting the Mexican border from immigrants. Add a dollop of sour cream to those refried beans.
I guess border security isn't racist in Mexico.
“This is an invasion!” shouted Luis Alexis Mendoza, 30, a bespectacled carpenter who was among scores of protesting Tijuana residents staging an anti-caravan demonstration Sunday that culminated in a standoff with riot police on the street where more than 2,000 Central Americans were being housed in a sports facility. “We demand respect! We demand that our laws be followed.”He and others denounced caravan members — mostly Honduran nationals — as “criminals,” “bums,” and “freeloaders,” among other negative characterizations used to describe the Central Americans.
Huh. Remember what happened a couple of years ago when a then-presidential candidate said not nice things about people trying to enter America illegally? The comments above from Luis seem reminiscent, no? I've not yet updated my SJW trigger handbook, but is it racist for Luis to say the mostly Honduran migrants suck?
Protesters sang the Mexican national anthem and waved Mexican flags in a loud display of nationalism and anti-caravan sentiment.
Trump's grandkids should have this next quote printed on a sweatshirt for him as a Christmas present.
“We are not with Trump — he has spoken horribly about Mexicans — but he is right in that every country has a right to defend its borders."
We could have used this article, specifically its sentiments, during the primary. When the left and the media claimed any concern about illegal immigration was literally the KKK, racism, and obviously inspired by a historical baddie with a cropped mustache. Yet here we have other countries trying to defend themselves from illegal immigration. Where are the comparisons of Mexicans to the Third Reich?
So it's fine for Mexico to be protective of their borders and their nation, but it's not okay for America to protect its borders against any nation, but mostly Mexico.
The irony isn't lost on us. What Mexicans are doing with their own migrant problem is as subtle as a piñata filled with hot chili sauce, smashed with Negan's club.
