I maintain the OVER/UNDER for when Democrats start the leaks about replacing Joe Biden on the ballot is set at July 19th. It will be a week after they have Donald Trump sentenced after convicting him of thirty-four bookkeeping errors, and the day after they confirm Trump is the GOP nominee. Joe just needs to get past tonight's CNN debate.

Tonight's CNN debate, which you may have heard is the most consequential debate in the history of all the United States of the Americas. Biden has to be at the top of his game and put forth the greatest performance of his 117-year political career. Everything rides on tonight's event.

So you have to wonder why Democrats would leak this story about Michelle Obama being unable to calm down about him THE MORNING OF THE DEBATE.

Axios, who gets all the best embarrassing Joe Biden scoops from White House sources who hate him, had this to say in their morning exclusive:

Former First Lady Michelle Obama privately has expressed frustration over how the Biden family largely exiled her close friend Kathleen Buhle after Buhle's messy divorce from Hunter Biden, two people familiar with the relationship told Axios.

Michelle Obama also was initially reluctant to campaign for Biden after he became the Democratic nominee in 2020, people familiar with the situation told Axios.

This year Barack Obama has attended fundraisers and appeared in videos for President Biden's re-election effort, but Obama has done so solo, without his popular spouse.

Not that the Obamas were ever particularly fond of Joe Biden. Biden, as vice president, got BENCHED from the campaign for most of the 2012 re-election effort. Then, in 2008, the only reason he got picked to be vice president was that the weekend Obama was making his decision, Russia invaded Georgia, and someone convinced Barack he needed to choose a "grown-up." All signs at the time pointed to Obama choosing Virginia Governor Tim Kaine. Instead, we got the one Democrat known for having the WORST foreign policy instincts out of all of them.

Sixteen years later, we have what's left of Joe Biden running for re-election as president. Unless, of course, Democrats pull the trigger and replace him.

Michelle Obama is the most common name tossed around as a replacement. And while she said a few months ago that she wasn't going to run, SOMEONE made the decision to have SOMEONE leak this story the morning of the most important day of Joe Biden's presidency, knowing that it would dominate the news.

I'm just sayin' is all I'm sayin'.
