Michelle Wolf Celebrates Abortion, Compares to Classic 80s Movie
On Monday evening, Donald Trump will announce his appointee to the Supreme Court. Expect to see the left go Defcon Eleventy on abortion (see CNN OpEd: ‘Pro-Abortion is Pro-Life.’ Not Even Close. and Abortion Activists Protest Google Selling Ad Space to Pro-Lifers). Though "comedienne" Michelle Wolf took the pro-abortion argument to new heights -- or is that "lows"? -- with a barrage of abortion lies and tasteless movie comparisons.
“Look, access to abortion is good and important. Some people say abortion is ‘killing a baby.’ It’s not. It’s stopping a baby from happening. It’s like ‘Back to the Future’ and abortion is the DeLorean. And everyone loves DeLoreans.”
Please allow me this Back to the Future gif to illustrate her entire video.
CNTL+ALT+yes, I still support no rules in comedy. Michelle Wolf has a right to make whatever jokes she wants. I have a right not to watch it. I also have the right not to find the jokes funny. That's my right to choose.
So yes, Wolf can make abortion jokes while comparing her dark places to Harry Potter titles. Which... is kind of creepily funny and will ruin Harry Potter forever.
The rub is when leftist "comediennes" like Wolf are treated with just as much validity as elected officials. When really the reverse should be true. Especially the Democrats who keep widening their mouths for regular foot deposits.
I dream of a world where comedy sketches and policy pushing are separate. Like the separation of church and state. Maybe the separation of jokes and agenda throat-shoving. That's what Wolf is doing here. Her video is being promoted by the press like it's just as important as if Elizabeth Warren said it. Imagine Nancy Pelosi doing a song and dance number about how awesome aborting babies is. That's how the media treats people like Michelle Wolf, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and any other "comedian" who is trying to impersonate Jon Stewart.
The difference is, I never got the sense from Stewart he hated the half of the country which disagreed with him. I do get that sense from most of the people who've taken up the mantle.
Leftist comedians have dropped the comedy and embraced the leftism. They've transformed from the court jesters into the king's propagandists. It's not funny. It's not even fun.
As to Wolf's points on abortion, they're the same tired clap trap we've debunked more often than Nancy Pelosi gets botoxed. Hence we didn't hit the same points above. Here, watch a video:
