Geoffery Owens, if you're not familiar with the story, was a regular on The Cosby Show. He was last spotted working at Trader Joe's. This career change caused some of the internet's worst trolls to "job shame" Owens. Because working to pay for your own life suddenly became a thing worthy of internet shame. Probably the same people who get degrees in gender studies, but that's for another time. Owens gave an interview on all this (watch it here), and Mike Rowe, Studmuffin in Chief, has responded.

The only thing shameful about working at Trader Joe's is nothing. There's no shame in honest work. Hard stop.

More people, like the person who originally shamed Geoffery Owens, need to learn what used to be common knowledge: working to take care of yourself and your family is a good thing. Working with a good attitude builds character. Shaming people who work in a job you think is beneath them (or you) makes you, the shamer, a terrible person. Yes, I'm shaming the work shamers. Many of whom are, in some capacity, probably still leeching off mommy and daddy. Change my mind.

Truth is we need more men like Geoffery Owens willing to work at whatever job to take care of himself and his family. Not more entitled, whiny "adult" brats who look for any excuse to be bitch babies.
