Ahead Of World War 3, Nearly 70% Of US troops Are Overweight Or Obese
They might be unfit but at least they make sure to use the “correct pronouns.”
Nearly seven out of 10 US service members are considered either overweight or obese, according to a new study. The number of troops in the “obese” category has more than doubled over the course of the past decade — from 10.4% in 2012 to 21.6% last year.
It turns out that when your national security is fat, that may actually undermine our safety.
The American Security Project found that 68% of US troops qualified as either “overweight” or “obese,” according to BMI.
“At a time when we are struggling to recruit an adequate labor force for the military, the growing rates of obesity are especially alarming,” said Matthew Wallin, chief operating officer of the American Security Project. “No person defending our country should find themselves unsupported and unequipped to fight a personal battle against obesity.”
More than half of young Americans now qualify as obese, and it’s the number one disqualifier for recruiting prospects.
“The growing prevalence of obesity in service members reduces the readiness of the all-volunteer military, but it isn’t a moral failing; it’s a health crisis,” the report reads. “Framing obesity as an issue of insufficient willpower or discipline prevents soldiers from seeking and receiving treatment, makes commanders and healthcare workers less inclined to intervene, and worsens health outcomes across the services.”
According to Pentagon data obtained by Stars and Stripes, less than a quarter of Americans between the ages of 17 and 24 qualify both academically and physically for military service.
This news comes only a couple of weeks after the United States Army announced that it would make “sweeping changes” to its recruiting enterprise after struggling to meet its goal of 452,000 active-duty soldiers.
Even according to the woke CDC, in 2018, 71% of young people in the United States would not be able to join the military if they wanted to because they were too fat. And that by not addressing these issues now, it will subsequently impact our future national security.
But I have yet to hear the military mention any of this. The only thing I recall them talking about lately is about paying for transgender surgeries and focusing on racism. You know, because the most important thing in the country is sex change operations and DEI. That will definitely help us if China invades.
Overall, one may argue that the effect of woke ideologies has been to lessen operational readiness in defense of the nation.
This means our armed forces' ability to do its job is being subsequently undermined in favor of woke activism.
I guess this is what happens when society considers “sex change operations” as brave and physical standards as fatphobic. Why worry about our troops being ready to defend when we have bigger things to worry about like drag queens and racism, or whatever.
But at least they were inclusive, right? I think the real problem here is that everyone is so quick to fat-shame our troops.
But all jokes aside, the woke takeover of the Military puts everyone in danger.
