SR-71 had a song called "Politically Incorrect" in 2000 with the line "you couldn't make Blazing Saddles today." A reference to how much times had changed over more than a quarter of a century. Now it's "you couldn't make The Office today," a show that's been gone for less than ten years. The latest person to make the claim is Mindy Kaling, who both starred in and WROTE the show.

She bemoaned on GMA this morning (emphasis mine", "The writers who I’m still in touch with now, we always talk about how so much of that show we probably couldn’t make now. Tastes have changed, and honestly what offends people has changed so much now. I think that actually is one of the reasons the show is popular, because people feel like there’s something kind of fearless about it or taboo that it talks about on the show."

The Office is REVERED here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website. There are two groups of people in this world. Those who grasp the brilliance of The Office. And unfunny people with a metal poles crammed up their rectums. If America would learn about racial understanding from Michael and Darryl, we'd all be in a better place.

But look again at what Mindy said. You couldn't make the show today because of how "inappropriate" it is...even though it's STILL POPULAR. "Tastes" and what "offends people" has allegedly changed, even though in 2000 the show was the most streamed show during the pandemic. You most certainly CAN still make the show today. Mindy says so herself. She just doesn't realize she said so.

The only ones offended and whose "tastes" have changed are the permaoffended woke twats working in Hollywood, writing for digital tabloids in Park Slope, and who have recently been fired from Twitter. Normal people, a vast majority of us, still think that brand of comedy is funny.

You could still make The Office today, or a show like The Office. It's not that you can't. It's that handful of people won't, and lecture the rest of us as to why.
