If you are taking public transportation around the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, Metro Transit has installed the do's and don'ts of riding the Metro. DO pay your fair and be courteous of other passengers. DON'T poop, pee, or rape.

It would appear these are things that people living in the Twin Cities need to be told.

A lot of this is common courtesy (shout out Hot Air). No loud talking. Keep your shoes and socks on. Throw out your litter. All common rules on public transportation that are as common as ignoring the rule about keeping your bags and luggage on the seats. I'll move my bag if you ask, but if I can discourage anyone from sitting down next to me... I'mma do that.

Then, Metro gets oddly specific.

Pooping or peeing
Transit property is not a public restroom.

Out in real America, people don't need to be told not to take a shit on the bus. Or on the street. Or anywhere that isn't a toilet. Yet the more progressive a city is, the more you have to put up with public pooping in order to enjoy the right to pay high taxes, unaffordable rent, and out-of-control crime. I wonder if the bus driver sees someone about to take a teaming dookie in the aisle if he taps the sign to remind them that it's prohibited.

Sexual assault
Sexual contact without consent is forbidden.

I want to focus on the "without consent" part. We all know that sexual assault is illegal. It's the way specific sexual contact WITHOUT CONSENT is forbidden. Does that mean if there is consent, sex on the Metro is allowed? Like, if there's some dude banging a broad in the back, but he asked permission first and she said yes, it's NOT forbidden? There is nothing that says having consensual sex is forbidden. She just can't yell, "Oh F*ck," because that goes against the profanity restrictions. Also, no eating, but we don't need to get into that.

Big city living. Amirite?
