Nonbinary Councilmember decides her month-long mental health break after being misgendered was not enough, so now she's suing
If your entire self-worth is based on affirming indescribable feelings, that’s a sign you are not competent enough to run for office. Nonetheless, one narcissistic council member believes otherwise and is now contemplating suing the city after “they” took a month-long leave of absence for being misgendered.
Thu Nguyen, the nonbinary MA city councilor who took over a month off from work because someone "misgendered" her, is now considering filing a lawsuit against the city of Worcester for "retaliating" against her.
Nguyen claims that the City of Worcester is attempting to "withhold… pic.twitter.com/yfhxUl6Fb5

According to Mass Live:
A Worcester City Councilor indicated they might sue the city in order to seek accountability for alleged transphobia, discrimination and “toxic culture” that has taken place in the council.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, City Councilor-at-Large Thu Nguyen wrote that they have been experiencing what they consider to be retaliation from the council.
Nguyen, who uses they/them pronouns, said that this retaliation has come in the form of an alleged hostile work environment and specific rules, such as not being able to meet with their council aide outside of their office.
Nguyen has also filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s office.
“I’ve sought many routes so far, and I never wanted it to come down to this but if it must come down to a lawsuit for accountability, I will see the City of Worcester in court,” Nguyen wrote.
“They” does realize misgendering is not a crime, right?
They also said two new orders from the committee on municipal and legislative operations that would require the council to vote on withholding the salary and benefits of another councilor if they take an unauthorized leave as a form of retaliation against them.
The point of serving in local office is not to make everything about “themselves.” So, while “they” are out there demanding that people affirm “their” identities, that is not what she was elected to do. She is supposed to serve the interest of the voters, not hers. And the sooner she realizes that, the easier everything will be.
