Ah, new year, new hoaxes. You've likely noticed there's lots of fake news going around lately. Usually propagated by the left, of course. Hence why they suddenly want to retire the term (see LOL: WaPo Demands You Stop Calling Out 'Fake News' After it Backfired on Them). Speaking of which, remember the Iraqi guy all over the news a few days ago? In case you missed it, he claimed his sick mother died in Iraq due to the "Trump ban." He even went as far as to say that, had she been able to get to the U.S., she probably would have lived. Tragic.

Turns out his story? It was a festering pile of fake news...

As you can imagine, this news doused the left's burning hatred of Donald Trump with heaps of gasoline. The original story was posted by every liberal with a blog...

Per FOX 2:

The leader of a mosque in Dearborn has confirmed to FOX 2 that a man who claimed his mother died in Iraq after being barred from returning to the United States under a ban instituted by President Trump this weekend, lied to FOX 2 about when her death occurred.

On Tuesday, Mike Hager told FOX 2 that he and his family were stopped while trying to return from Iraq to Michigan. He said that he was allowed through, but his ailing mother and other family members were not. He then claimed that his mom passed away in Iraq on Saturday, as he was traveling to the United States.

Mike Hager's mom did not pass away this weekend after the travel ban was put in place. The imam confirms that Hager's mother died before the executive order was signed.

Bamboozled again.

When it comes to liberal sob stories regarding Donald Trump, there have been hoaxes aplenty. While Trump has been delivering on many of his campaign promises, the left is desperately trying to convince the world that Trump's presidency is a disaster. Mostly via fear-mongering (see Economist Says 'Market Will Never Recover Under Trump.' Dow Hits All Time High SAME DAY!). Or flat-out hoaxes like this.

The only catastrophe I'm seeing is the left imploding on itself...
