Moms for Liberty founders bring ALL the receipts after "60 Minutes" hit piece airs
When the founders of Moms for Liberty sat down for an interview with 60 Minutes, they knew what would air would be edited down to a hit piece. So they kept notes in the form of a transcript AND a video of what was really said, and in what context. Let's be honest. If you are so much as center-right and sitting down with corporate media WITHOUT your own recording, you almost deserve to have your words twisted out of your stupidity for expecting fair and unbiased journalisming.
Tina Descovich and Tiffany Justice knew the assignment. They were going to be interviewed for hours. 60 Minutes was going to edit it down to a few minutes of them supporting "book banning" (even though I know that you know that I know that you know nothing is being banned) and derpity derpy, look how EXTREEEEEEEEME they are! The two founders kept a video and a full transcript. So far, only the transcript has been shared on X-Twitter.
Such as Scott Pelley not doing his basic homework into how and why M4L were formed.
How the @60Minutes interview started:
(From the transcript)
Scott Pelley:
Moms began as a, let me see. Yeah, moms began as a movement to protest mask restrictions in schools with regard to COVID. And I wonder how you got to books?
Tina Descovich:
Well, I'd like to say, first of…

Pelley tried to paint them as being full of fear. They went with a different f-word: facts. And the FACT that parents, thinking their kids were being taught things like math and social studies, were being told as young as kindergarten they could change genders if they wanted to: "And so parents are now awake and so they take time out of their busy lives, raising their kids, going to work, attending soccer games, doing all the things parents do. They don't wanna be at school board meetings, they don't wanna be filing public records requests, but they're very concerned."
From the ACTUAL transcript: @ScottPelley
I'll ask this as simply as I can. What ideologies do you find troubling?
Tina Descovich:
I was just saying that your question was about fear. And if this is a fear based movement? I feel like that's a misnomer.
This is a fact based… https://t.co/4zvSTc4uAC

The answer about the Southern Poverty Law Center labeling M4L extremists was the part I found most interesting, because it was something I hadn't though about. SPLC claims M4L is "anti-government." I might be inclined to agree about being "anti-government," except I would mean it in a good way. As Descovich explains, they aren't anti-government at all.
They've described us as anti-government extremists. Tiffany just got finished telling you that we endorsed in 500 school board races last year.
We used the process to be involved in our government, the way American citizens were meant to be involved. Tiffany and I served for four years on school boards. We gave four years of our lives to serve our community in an elected capacity. To be part of the government for solutions.
One of our principles is to hold elected officials accountable. That doesn't make you an anti-government extremist. Speaking in front of your government telling them they are doing a poor job and they need to fix it, that is absolutely American.
@Moms4Liberty being called Extremists by @60Minutes

The @splcenter Southern Poverty Law Center has described you as extremists.

That's the part that scares the Left the most. The reason why they were able to sneak this crap into schools is because people they were counting on people not paying attention. The Marxist teachers' union would spend money electing school board members. The members would choose Chairman and Superintendents who agreed with their every political whim.
Parents/normal citizens being more involved, even running for office themselves, is how government is SUPPOSED to work. The Left hates that. Hence their drive to slander organizations like Moms for Liberty with every -ism and -phobia label they can make up.
