Morning Joe Breaks Media Silence on Susan Rice ‘Unmasking’ Scandal...
Anything having to do with Donald Trump, Russia, and/or whatever the hell a "deep state" is is a major scandal. Unless of course, it has to do with a member of the Obama Administration breaking the law. Then it's "fake news." So when "Ms. Benghazi" Susan Rice was accused of unmasking Trump aides, totally not fake news outlets like CNN went in defense mode. Despite the scandal being huge. MSBNC's Joe Scarborough wouldn't let such an enormous story pass him by.
"The government is doing exactly what civil libertarians are concerned about the government doing. What is Susan Rice unmasking names for and spreading them across the government? Wouldn’t that be the job of James Comey or the Attorney General?”Why isn’t it in the newspaper of record here? We’ve got Bill O’Reilly on the front page but we don’t have NSC, and Susan Rice?”
If you're confused by what "unmasking" is, allow me to break it down real simple like.
In foreign surveillance an American's name is "redacted" and replaced with "Person 1" or "Person 2" so an American isn't spied upon, his privacy unviolated. You know, all the tenets for which the left and civil liberties enthusiasts claim to have all the cares.
Susan Rice came along and "unmasked" Persons 1 and Persons 2 (and how many others), then shared their identities with other government agencies. And not so these Americans would be invited to her Pampered Chef parties. But to be watched (ahem, SPIED UPON) and investigated.
Remember how Americans have the right to "due process" and all that jazz? Susan Rice takes laws as seriously as she took the lives lost in Benghazi. Which she lied about repeatedly, claiming it was a "heinous" YouTube video which caused the embassy attacks. That Susan Rice. That Obama Administration. If only we'd heard the last of them.
I remember when Dubya took over from Clinton, and Obama took office after Dubya. In both cases, each administration went its own way, back into their private lives in some function. Sure, sure, the pantsuited queen couldn't keep silent for long, but on the whole, one administration gave way to the other.
Well, the Obama Administration's scandals keep cropping up. Because they spied upon, investigated, and possibly tried sabotaging (that's hardly ALLEGED, but let's go with ALLEGEDLY for the lawyers), the incoming administration. The Obama Administration was all about that "transparency" and "unity" after all.
Susan Rice personally requested the unmasking of Trump aides. The implication, and only real motive she could have for doing so, was to selectively target members of the Trump team for political gain. Shady stuff. A scandal for the ages. CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and BuzzFeed would've run wall to wall coverage had Condi Rice or Stephen Hadley, both National Security Advisors for Bush, done anything close to what Susan Rice did.
But because it was under Obama, most of the media is keeping mum. While lecturing you about the threats of a Trump Administration, who they're desperately trying to tie to nefarious dealings. The irony isn't lost on us...
And according to the CNN and the New York Times, it's fake news.
