MSNBC Reporter Tries to Get Anti-Gun Soundbite From Santa Fe Students. Fails
We've long been warning you of the left's disingenuous concern for the well-being of shooting survivor kids. You and I might see an emotionally scarred teen who needs love and support. The left sees an opportunity for anti-gun soundbites. Never let a crisis go to waste. Which is exactly what this MSNBC reporter was trying to get from these Santa Fe survivors.
She failed:
About halfway through the interview, Atencio brought up Parkland: “You think about Parkland. It happened in February. There’s been a national debate about gun safety and gun reform. What do you guys think should be done?”Atencio tried to get them to become gun control advocates one final time, suggesting that they have a “responsibility” to become gun control advocates like their counterparts in Parkland: “We saw the teens in Parkland really become the voices of the movement for gun reform across the country. Now your voices have become all important. How do you feel about that responsibility on your shoulders right now, Trenton?”
Do you think some people are aiming to make the audience uncomfortable with their inability to understand that which is going on around them? This was painful. The kids were clear where they stood on providing the reporter with mindless words.
It's obvious these teens have no interest in being pawns advocates for the left's gun control parade. Though this reporter wasn't about to let details get between her and a juicy soundbite which might make her a viral sensation. Like Charlie Bit my Finger but Charlie's a gum-less geriatric. She tried to squeeze anti-gun common sense out of the teens all the way up to commercial time. If at first you don't succeed, set fire to self-awareness.
Notice also the guilt trip about responsibilities. Contrary to the left's beliefs, these younglings have zero obligation to join their chinless Parkland peers in their quest to end the Second Amendment. Confusing considering the Hoggy Bunch glimmering in the media spotlight.
The left isn't interested in free-thinking youngsters. They're interested in loyal puppets who parrot their political beliefs. If you don't conform, no fame and non-fortune for you.
