MSNBC's Excuse to Downplay Memo: 'Everyone is Biased'...
The memo dropped Friday, harder than Tess Holiday after a brisk walk up a flight of stairs. It may not have been worse than Watergate or akin to the American Revolution as some on the right claimed. But, it sure as hell wasn't the end of the world like Democrats swore (see Cory Booker Claims Releasing the Memo Would be Treasonous… and Nancy Pelosi Loses Her Addled Mind Over Release of the GOP Memo).
My tinfoil hat is at the cleaners, so let's just say the memo opened up more questions than it answered. Which hasn't stopped the left from making any excuses they can to downplay the memo. MSNBC's Ned Price was particularly entertaining. He went with the "but everyone is doing it" excuse.
But Matt’s point is the big one here. You know, look, from my experience at the CIA, from working closely with the FBI over the years, I can say categorically that there is not a single source within our intelligence or law enforcement community that is not in some ways biased.
It’s not that you try to wave a magic wand and to remove an individual’s biases, you account for them. You vet a source. You compare his or her information to what you already know.
Here's the thing. There's nothing inaccurate about what Ned said. Everyone has their biases. If you have principles and believe in certain things, of course you're going to be biased. But, giving in to bias and allegedly gaming the system to ruin your political opponents is a whole different monster.
"Bias is normal" is a poor excuse for what the FBI is accused of in the memo. I get this is MSNBC and they're paid to spin however the Democrats tell them. But "FBI bias is ok because everyone is biased" comes up short when you're investigating the President of the United States. Try again, lefties.
