Recently we talked about how moderate Muslims, rumored to exist, need to stand up against terrorism (read Dear Moderate Muslims: We Need You to Fight Against Islamic Terrorism). What does that look like? More than simply denouncing terrorism. #NotAllMuslims will stop chopping up infidels because of a trending hashtag. There needs to be a solid game plan. Remember how we said denouncing terrorism isn't enough? It's still a good first step. Most major Islamic groups haven't even taken that first step. Someone draws Muhammad and everyone's losing their hijabs. But a massive terrorist attack? Crickets. Meanwhile leftists complain that Muslims are being misbranded (Obama Visits US Mosque and Lectures America about "Hate"). The truth is, Muslims are misbranding themselves. That tends to happen when you openly associate with a demographic that blasts people to bite-sized bits.

Instead, how about getting politically active in the fight against radical Islam? We're not asking a lot of Islamists; certainly no more than we non-Muslims expect from ourselves. When Americans see evil within our ranks, we fight to quash that evil. We don't make excuses for it. Moderate Muslims want the world to know they exist. Solution? Let the world know you exist. Stop allowing extremists to hijack your identity. Then we'll count you in as one of us.

We can't do it for you. It's on you, Muslims. You up for it?
