The San Francisco Examiner proclaimed pro-abortion Nancy Pelosi to be more of a Catholic than the Archbishop of San Francisco and demanded Pope Francis defend her honor. They even questioned the Archbishop's loyalty to Christ. Yes, the San Francisco Examiner.

Let's recap. Catholics oppose abortion. There is a belief in the church that pro-abortion "Catholics" should not receive Holy Communion. Nancy Pelosi is one of the most ultra-radical, pro-abortion Democrats. San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone has spoken out about Pelosi's pro-abortion stance before. Pelosi responded by saying she outranks the Catholic church in deciding if she receives communion or not.

With Pelosi's most recent attack on the pro-life movement in the wake of the SCOTUS decision leak overturning Roe v. Wade, Cordileone said enough is enough, No more Communion for you, saying "You are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion." So, the SF Chronicle is demanding Pope Francis get involved.

"Cordileone’s chief loyalty is not to Christ, but to the cabal of far-right American bishops [...] We repeat the call for Pope Francis to remove him and replace him with a leader who can unify rather than divide. Cordileone’s radical conservative politics might attract more people to the faith in places like Oklahoma or Texas..."

Also, the editorial board says that instead of attacking pro-abortion Pelosi, the archbishop should do something about "far-right conservatives" who vote against Democratic spending bills.

The San Francisco Chronicle is demanding the Pope replace a Catholic archbishop with someone who is less devoted to Catholicism and Jesus Christ and more devoted to ultra-radical liberalism and Nancy Pelosi. If you could bottle the smug douchebaggery of the Chronicle's editorial board, you'd be able to walk on water.
