As some government workers discovered they would be out of work, Nancy Pelosi jetted off to Hawaii to celebrate Christmas. As an aside..."shutdown?" Not to sound like a meme, but taxes didn't stop coming out of my paycheck. If they didn't force me to watch the news for a living, you'd never know the government shutdown. Just saying.

Semantics aside, here's Pelosi defending her vacation.

And the president may not know this, but Hawaii is part of the United States of America. Maybe he doesn't realize that. I don't know where the president observed the religious holiday of Christmas. Do you?

Actually Madam Speaker, we all know where Trump spent his holidays. In Washington DC. We know this because he's tweeted about it incessantly. Waiting for you to reopen the government and protect our border.

It's just the tone deafness of it all. Stretchface Nancy is free to go to whatever part of the world she likes for vacation. But not after lecturing others about poverty and elitism and what not. Tone deafness, sweetie. Get a PR firm.

I can't wait for her speech today. Or more importantly, the president live-tweeting it. All the popcorn is being popped.
