UPDATE: Pelosi says she elbowed the girl to get her into the shot. And her chief of staff is angry at the media. I promised you an update, so whoomp there it is.

Mayra Flores was sworn in as a member of Congress last week by Nancy Pelosi. Mayra, a Republican, won the 2nd-most Hispanic district in America, ending Democrats' control for over a century. I can understand Pelosi being angry about it. But to take it out on Flores' young daughter? That is the accusation making its way around the internet thanks to this video of the Democratic leader elbowing a small child who got too close.

It sure looks like she elbowed the girl purposely. But "looks" can be deceiving. There hasn't been time for the "independent" "fact" checkers to circle the wagons and tell us she didn't. They are usually quick to say Pelosi isn't drunk when critics say she looks like she's drunk, claiming Nancy doesn't drink alcohol, unlike her husband. They have yet to "independently" "fact" check this video. For the time being, you need to decide on your own if you think Pelosi is the type of person who would elbow a little girl for alleged political reasons.

Other members of Congress do believe that Nancy Pelosi is the type of person who would do that.

One of them is newly sworn-in Congresswoman Flores. She praised her young daughter for standing her ground like the queen that she is. She also stood there with poise and without making a face because I'm sure Nancy smells like old lady farts.

But again, this is all speculation. While Republicans are seizing on the video of Nancy Pelosi elbowing a small child whose mother has a different political opinion than her, there is no proof other than what our eyes see. Neither Pelosi nor her stans in the media have released their perfectly logical explanation for this.
