When Nancy Pelosi pats the head of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, you know it's going to be a good day. San Francisco's stretchiest face gave a little "bless her heart" to the freshman congresswoman by saying this of AOC's Green New Deal, Nina Pinta's first attempt at actual relevance:

“It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive,” Pelosi said. “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?”

Kind of sounds like Obamacare. No one knew what it was, but we had to pass it to know what was in it. Best Nancy Pelosi line of all time. Then the Democrats all passed it, but not a single Republican did. Aw, memories.

It's bad enough when Pelositron 2019 simpers at the young upstart. Then she twisted the knife with this little slight:

Pelosi took a more conciliatory tone on Thursday, saying: “Quite frankly, I haven’t seen it, but I do know it’s enthusiastic and we welcome all the enthusiasm that is out there.”

"Enthusiastic" is a word I see a lot. Usually from people who haven't much in the way of skills or experience, but who think their passion for something makes up for the lack of said skill or said experience. In which case, if what everyone is saying about the Green New Deal is true, Nancy Pelosi used the correct word.

Enthusiasm is fine. But it's a separate thing from what's also needed: competence. Or for AOC, a basic understanding of reality. We're talking about a woman who can't even defend her blessed ideology of socialism. Now she wants all of America to fall in line with her Green New Deal?

Just because you look good dancing in a college video doesn't mean you're good at crafting policy. We'll get into the nuts and nuts of that policy later.
