On the week Donald Trump claims polls are fake news, there have been a lot of narrative busting ones in his favor (see Majority of Americans APPROVE Trump’s ‘Travel Ban’). The latest? People trust him more than the mainstream media, or the "MSM" as the kids call it.

The first poll of Emerson College’s Spring 2017 semester shows the nation is split on Donald Trump’s performance as President so far with 48% of registered voters approving of the job that Trump is doing, versus 47% that disapprove.

A key finding of the poll shows that voters find the Trump administration to be more truthful than the news media. The Trump administration is considered truthful by 49% of voters, to 48% of voters who consider it untruthful. Meanwhile, the news media is considered untruthful by a 53%-majority of voters, to only 39% who find them truthful (a 14-point gap).

So we're clear, I'm not claiming a 1% difference is a big deal in the slightest when it comes to how people view the Trump Administrations overall truthfulness. But this still goes to something we say on the show regularly. It's not that people love Trump. Yes, yes, some do, sure. But the bigger point is that a larger percentage of people (possibly growing daily) hate liberals and the media more than they love or hate the Trumpster. Even here, there have been policies or issues President Trump has enacted or sided with which we've frowned upon. But before we have a chance to write about it, the left goes so over the top batshit crazy, we can't not direct our attention there first. We have to triage the outrage, as it were. When leftists grab torches and pitchforks, we grab our fire hoses.

If the MSM ever got their stuff together and sucked a little less at life, it would be a game changer. Instead, we get  Joe Scarborough Ground and Pounds Anti-Trump Media Over Fake News.

Oh and by the way? Every time the media tells an epic fib, and then gets called out for said fib as Scarborough called them out? Lends more credence to the "you're fake news" meme made famous by Trump calling out CNN. Playing right into his hands.
