All of the Nashville police officers suspended over the Nashville Manifesto leak have returned to regular duty. The department "exhausted" all available approaches to identify the person responsible. And we know what you're thinking.
Last month, officers were put on paid administrative leave over the Nashville Manifesto leak. A spokesperson for the department said it was "to protect the integrity of the active, progressing investigation." It came on the heels of Steven Crowder, host of Louder with Crowder, releasing three pages of the manifesto that implies Nashville shooter Audrey Hale was motivated by the progressive belief of "white privilege" and targeted white people as a result.
According to FOX-17 Nashville:
Now, all MNPD officers have returned to regular duties during the pendency of the investigation.
As part of the investigation, MNPD says various people were interviewed and electronic devices were forensically examined.
The investigation revealed the three cell phone photographs were taken directly after the shooter’s journals were found in her vehicle.
As of now, only the three pages we published of the manifesto have been released. The full contents are still being withheld.
In November, MugClub filed FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests for:
- Manifesto
- Journals authored by shooter
- Bodycam footage
- Notes
- New internal policies
- Crime scene photos
- Emails regarding leak
- Emails regarding investigation into leaker
We want everyone right now to go to ReleaseTheManifesto.com and sign our petition to MNPD to release the full manifesto
The public has a right to be informed about the activities and decisions made by the Nashville Police Department, especially when it concerns matters of public interest and safety. We understand that the manifesto may be sensitive, but it is imperative that the department balances the need for confidentiality with the public's right to access information that affects their lives.
As engaged and concerned citizens, we believe in the principles of transparency, accountability, and open communication between law enforcement agencies and the public they serve.
