NBC Sports thought they could remove Texans QB CJ Stroud praising Jesus without the internet noticing: "This is why people hate the media"
Rookie QB CJ Stroud led the Houston Texans to a wild card victory on the road to eventually losing to the Buffalo Bills in two weeks. After the win, Stroud said something so appalling and inappropriate, that while it aired live, NBC Sports made it a point to edit his incendiary comments before posting the clip to X. What vile filth came out of his mouth? Stroud... said nice things about Jesus.
Yes, Jesus Christ.
Seriously. This is what he said: First and foremost, I want to give all glory and praise to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Not everyone found what Stroud said to be problematic. County music superstar and Houston native Parker McCollum dropped X that if all the other QBs loved Jesus as much as Stroud did, it might make the world a better place.
Imagine if all 32 starting NFL quarterbacks praised Jesus as much as CJ stroud does. It would be monumental.

Someone on the NBC News Sports digital team disagreed. Showing love for a city being run into the ground by progressive policies is okay. Showing love for Jesus? Meh.

It's hard to tell what is the most offensive. Someone would argue it was editing out a loving message about Jesus Christ when had Stroud praised Planned Parenthood, Biden 2024, or Pfizer, the digital team would have kept it in. But I'm not surprised. The digital team is most likely run out of NYC, where they hate Jesus unless they are claiming he is Palestinian. The person who made the edit was probably bitter that they were stuck editing a Texans game instead of the Taylor Swift game that was airing next.
I was offended by the sloppy jump cut. Being a blasphemous twat is bad enough. But for the love [redacted], show some professional pride.
The Internet was quick to point out what was missing.
Y’all are frauds, NBC, for cutting this video like you did. There’s no logical reason to cut out the very first part of his response, unless you just hate God. Obviously you do.
