On Sunday, Dove aired a Super Bowl commercial claiming to be concerned about girls dropping out of girls' sports. They may want to check out New Hampshire, where girls were just robbed in a state track meet by a guy who claims to be a girl. Though in fairness to the high jumper, s/he technically played by the rules. The rules are if you are a guy claiming to be a girl, you can compete against people who are girls. If you're a girl claiming to be a guy you can compete against people who are guys too. For some reason, we don't hear a lot of girls claiming to be guys shattering records.

Maelle Jacques, identified in the press as a male who identifies as transgender and competes in girls’ track, won the New Hampshire state title with a 5' 1" high jump. It was a full inch higher than any other girl. And a full seven inches shorter than any other boy. Maelle competing as a guy? He'd been in last place. Maelle competing as a girl? She's the champion.

The boys' state champ won with a high jump of 6'1". It is almost as if boys, especially those who have gone through puberty, have a natural strength and athletic advantage what with testosterone, bone density, being taller, etc.

District superintendent Winfried Feneberg said that the school "supports all students and student-athletes regardless of their gender identity," regardless of whether it creates an unfair advantage for people who choose to be a girl over those who are, like, you know, actual girls.

“Each student-athlete has the right to compete in the activity of their choice. The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association’s stance on this issue is clear: Denying that opportunity is a violation of equal rights afforded under state and federal law."

In the immortal words of National Women’s Law Center President Fatima Goss Graves, girls should "learn to lose gracefully" and calm down about it when it comes to losing to their beautiful and brave trans competitors. The NWLC claims to advance gender justice — working across issues that are central to the lives of women and girls. However, if you were born a woman or girl, you take a back seat to those who weren't.

To be fair to New Hampshire, at least they require male athletes to go through the trouble of IDENTIFYING as girls in order to compete against girls. In neighboring Massachusettes, you can just choose to play for the girls' team. Where you can then brag about your distracting penis on the girls' volleyball court, or crush a girl's jaw with a field hockey ball to the face. Equality!
