Ah, New Jersey. The land of Kevin Smith movies and stringent gas-pumping regulations. It's no shocker they lean left, but now they're demanding you do the same. Democrats in the Garden State are proposing a ban on official trips to gun-friendly states until they swear off the boomsticks.

Yeah, for reals:

Democratic lawmakers want to take the state's tight gun control laws and expand them outside of New Jersey's borders.

There's new legislation that would ban state-sponsored travel to any states that don't require their residents to obtain a permits before they purchase a firearm.

The goal is to send a message to the National Rifle Association, said State Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, the bill's sponsor.

"Fighting the NRA on the basis logic and rational thinking has not worked," Weinberg, D-Bergen, said. "So I think the thing that might work is fighting them with their pocketbook."

In other words, "I swear to Jon Bon Jovi, we won't rest until every other state complies with our anti-gunnery! Somebody's got to force those pesky Constitution-abiding states into line!"

So, New Jersey wants to cut the rest of us off. Having survived visited Newark many times in the past, I think I can safely say nobody gives a rat's keister. This is a state where left turns are a no bueno. The air smells of a fish market on a hot summer day. They celebrate Bruce Springsteen, as opposed to charging him with crimes against humanity. Yeah, I don't think us pro-gun states are losing much by Jersey keeping their suckage to themselves.

The left thinks they can bully the rest of us into submission with boycotts, travel bans, and accusations of being child-murdering dislikers of brown people. Except, every past attempt has fallen flat. Fire away all you want, lefties. You're not going to change our minds.
