The National Hockey League (NHL) was planning a job fair in Ft. Lauderdale. The rub is that white men originally needed not to apply. Ron DeSantis reminded the NHL that discrimination is bad and they don't do that in Florida.

The NHL has been under fire by people who don't watch or care about hockey because too many white people work for the company. The solution to increasing diversity was this job fair. One that was exclusive for people who identified as women, Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino (at least they didn't say Latinx), Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and/or a person with a disability.

Literally, everyone unless you are an able-bodied cracker ass cracker who identifies as a man. Not you.

The Florida Governor's office caught wind of this and said "Nope."

Press secretary Brian Griffin said in a statement from Governor DeSantis's office: "Discrimination of any sort is not welcome in the state of Florida, and we do not abide by the woke notion that discrimination should be overlooked if applied in a politically popular manner or against a politically unpopular demographic. We are fighting all discrimination in our schools and our workplaces, and we will fight it in publicly accessible places of meeting or activity. We call upon the National Hockey League to immediately remove and denounce the discriminatory prohibitions it has imposed on attendance to the 2023 'Pathway to Hockey' summit."

The NHL bent the knee. The original LinkedIn post has been removed, and the NHL issued a statement claiming the original wording of the LinkedIn post -- the one that went out of its way to identify everyone except for white men -- was inaccurate and indicated that the event is open to all people ages 18 and up.

The NHL should stick to sports and leave the woke virtue signaling into the NBA. Or, if you want to discriminate against white men so badly, California or New York might be better choices.
