Not many people are discussing the potential criminality of the matter. But the lack of intelligence in basic gun safety issues is clear. This brings us again to inexperienced armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. Her dad was an armorer, and she wanted to be one, too. Her first gig was on the Nicholas Cage movie The Old Way. Nic Cage? He wasn't a fan of hers.

Gutierrez-Reed failed to follow basic gun safety protocols, according to The Wrap. After the SECOND time she fired a gun near the cast and crew without warning, Nicholas Cage freaked out on her and stomped off in a rage.

"Make an announcement, you just blew my f***ing eardrums out!"

It's a serious issue and a serious story, but I can't be the only one who read that line doing a Nicholas Cage impersonation.

Call me crazy or a right-wing nutjob--even though, I'm more of a right-wing sonuvabitch--but if Hollywood spent less time saying ignorant things about guns when their publicists get talking points from Democrats and more time learning basic facts, there would be a lot fewer accidental manslaughters on movie sets.

I'm just saying, simple things like not firing a weapon in a crowd, warning people when a gun is about to go off. Also, and this is a big one, never put live rounds in a gun being used for make believe.
