Donald Trump said the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Convenient, as Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Other presidential candidates promised to make this recognition. But "Promises, Promises" is but a show tune for most elected wimps. Trump actually did it.

Ergo the United Nations has gone straight to plaid over Israel's capital. The UN prides itself on chosen-people-shaming Israel more often than Harvey Weinstein whips out his pecker. To water his least favorite plant. Always count on the UN to go full douche. After eight years of Obama, they weren't happy America was taking care of itself and its allies.

Ambassador Nikki Haley laid it out.

The United States refuses to accept the double standard that says we are not impartial when we stand by the will of the American people by moving our U.S. embassy, but somehow the United Nations is a neutral party when it consistently singles out Israel for condemnation.For decades, Israel has withstood wave after wave of bias in the UN and its agencies. The United States has often stood beside Israel. We did not on December 23, 2016. We will not make that mistake again.

She's talking about President Obama's last minute Hannukah gift. Obama figured, "Why pretend anymore? I'm out bitches!"

To the United Nations’ shame, this has been a disproportionately hostile place for the Middle East’s most enduring democracy.

This whole Israel hoopla is a case study on why we have more issues with the UN than a leftist spectrum has genders. America as a country should make its own decisions. The UN wants the United States to shut up and do what we're told. Like they're some kind of dominatrix in a kinky globalist bedroom-dungeon. While they're using their crop on the United States non-consensually, Israel is ball-gagged in a corner. Don't look too closely, you may see one of Obama's ties used in a way you never thought possible.
