“Why should we aim to achieve equity in the outdoors?”

The answer to that is unclear because the question makes no sense. But given that birds, climate change, and trees are racist, it is no surprise that the clothing brand The North Face believes that “the outdoors” is also guilty of this invisible sin.

The North Face is offering a 20 percent discount for customers who complete a racial inclusion and allyship course in hopes of making “the outdoors a safer and more welcoming place for everyone.”

It is unclear how the outdoors is less safe depending on the color of one's skin, but if a clothing brand is going to start making ambiguous and asinine claims that race dictates one's commitment to safety while camping, the least they can do is offer a 25 percent discount.

According to The Washington Examiner:

Outdoor clothing and gear giant The North Face is offering customers a 20% discount if they complete a digital course on racial inclusion and allyship.

Titled “Allyship in the Outdoors,” the course seeks to help customers all over the world understand the challenge people of color face when it comes to “accessing the outdoors” and offer them training on how to become a “better ally and to make the outdoors a safer and more welcoming place for everyone.”

“At The North Face, we believe in the power of exploration. As individuals, professionals and companies who share a love for the outdoors and exploration, we also have a responsibility to support spaces where everyone feels like they belong,” a course description reads.

“The course focuses on perspective of race and racism in Europe, and we acknowledge that the experiences of people of colour around the globe differs. It will also provide training and resources, through 4 interactive modules, to help you be a better ally and to make the outdoors a safer and more welcoming place for everyone.”

Intended for people who work and operate in the outdoor industry, the training lasts an hour.

During the training, one learns about the limitations people of color face when it comes to enjoying the outdoors, the impact of events such as the death of George Floyd, and the aim of creating an “equitable outdoors for everyone.”

Only Progressives would try and take something that is not even the least bit controversial, and make it controversial. The outdoors is open to anyone with a pulse. You cannot get more “equitable” than that. But somehow we are supposed to believe that we need to create “better allyship.”

“There is no explicit policy that excludes people from the outdoors yet there are few people of colour. While there is no intent to exclude, the system in itself creates those barriers to participation,” according to the training.

In other words, there is no problem because the outdoors is not a conscious thing. And on top of that, no entity or person intends to exclude any race from camping. However, according to the brand, fewer black people go camping compared to white people. And because of that, camping is racist.

And camping is racist even though they have admitted it's not racist. And if you are having trouble understanding what any of this means, then you are part of the problem, according to this woke brand.

There is no logic in that reasoning. It is a circular justification that makes absolutely no sense.

The North Face is a pathetic joke of a company and no one should purchase anything from an entity that prides itself on blatant arrogance.
