Man Armed with a BOW AND ARROW Kills 5, Injures 2 in 'Gruesome' Attack
Leave it to some Norwegian guy to go bonkers with a medieval weapon. But this isn't an episode of Vikings. This is real, and it reveals a few important truths that many would like swept under the rug for political purposes.
Man Arrested After Deadly Bow & Arrow Attack in Norwayayoutu.be
It was yesterday that the story was reported by Politico. A 37-year-old man killed five people in Kongsberg, Norway, and he did it with a bow and arrow. You read that correctly: a bow and arrow. It would seem people will use whatever implement is readily available to inflict harm on others if they are so inclined, a fact rarely taken into account here in the United States, where politicians repeatedly call for more and more restrictive gun laws to curb violent crime. But we've had other examples to work from, as well. The UK has had a violent crime issue for years. It also is not due to guns, and their government has gone completely insane with the laws they have enacted and proposed to tamp down on violence. So, if the weapon can't be blamed for the issue, what can be blamed?
Perhaps it's our imperfect nature. This sounds like a good enough reason why human beings are capable of terrible things. What's more, some people have a tendency to be taken in by terrible ideas. Take the U.S. for example. We've had several instances of people driven by awful ideas perpetrating violence on fellow Americans:
- Antifa Member Convicted of Violent Crime, Almost Setting Officer on Fire
- Violent Portland Antifa Group Assaults Journalist at Rally
- Reporter Violently Assaulted by GLM Looters and Rioters
- 'Protestor' Points a Gun at Reporter
So, what was it that caused this man to kill? It turns out, in this case, he had been identified and spoken to back in 2020 over concerns he had been radicalized after converting to Islam. This is not to say Islam is, by definition, a terrible idea, but radical fundamentalist views aren't usually good, and as Afghanistan becomes a haven to terrorists once again, I imagine we might be seeing some more of this in the near future.
The moral of the story: Guns don't kill people, radicalized people kill people.
