Now that it's considered safe to do so (see Rob Schneider Shares Disturbing Story of Sexual Harassment: 'I felt disgusted...' and Video: Jimmy Kimmel's Excuse to Avoid Weinstein Jokes Proves He's an Amoral Hypocrite...), SNL made some Harvey Weinstein Jokes. About ninety seconds worth and they were timid, because after all Harvey is still a leftist. But hey, jokes are jokes.

"It's so hard to make jokes about sexual assault, but it's so easy to make fun of a guy who looks like this..."

So kudos to SNL, I guess. They found their balls, kinda. Of course, they immediately offset the damage done to their former leftist demigod by going on a three-minute tirade against the Donald. But, that's neither here nor there.

One question though. What took SNL so long? Harvey Weinstein's consumed the news feeds for the past few weeks. Much like I'd assume he consumes an entire buffet. But, we're just now hearing about it from SNL. It would appear as though SNL, much like the rest of their entertainment industry amigos, was hiding out until it was safe to crack a few Harvey Weinstein jokes.

SNL and the rest of the left's apprehension to tackle Weinstein is quite telling. At the very least, they were afraid of biting the hand that signs their checks. But, at the worst, they're actively covering for Harvey's rapey ways. Either one is a lose-lose for the entertainment industry.
