NPR's taxpayer-funded CEO gets called out for her anti-White rhetoric; her response exposes the elitist Left
Katherine Maher, the CEO of NPR (which is funded by taxpayers like you), like most left-wing elitists, enjoys virtue-signaling about how horrible her fellow white people are. Yet get her under oath, and she is suddenly all like "New Twitter account, who dis?"
That was the case at yesterday's DOGE hearing, where Rep. Brandon Gill wondered about some things Maher has said publicly, as she claims to be an unbiased journalist.
Two key points to note:
- Maher was on the hill to beg DOGE not to gut hundreds of millions given to Public Broadcasting.
- NPR -- which, again, is funded by your tax dollars -- is more left-wing than even MSNBC or Buzzfeed.
Now on with the smackdown.
🚨MUST WATCH🚨
Old tweets come back to haunt NPR CEO…
GILL: Do you believe that America is addicted to white supremacy?
MAHER: I believe that I tweeted that and, as I've said earlier, I believe much of my thinking has evolved over the last half decade and has evolved…

Maher believed that America was "addicted to White Supremacy" a few years ago, when that was the popular opinion for progressives to have. She claims her "thinking has evolved over the last decade and has evolved." Right. Donald Trump got reelected after calling him and everyone who likes him raaaaaacist not only didn't work, turns out it had the adverse effect on Maher's Democrat Party.
Maher also claims she doesn't believe white people believe they are superior to other races, even though she did believe that when every other progressive elitist believed that. Or, she at least claimed to believe it.
This part is my favorite:
GILL: Do you believe that America believes in black plunder and white democracy?
MAHER: I don't believe that sir.
GILL: You tweeted that in reference to a book you were reading at the time, apparently ‘The Case for Reparations.’
MAHER: I don't think I've ever read that book, sir.
GILL: You tweeted about it. You said you took a day off to fully read ‘The Case for Reparations.’ You posted that on Twitter in January of 2020
She pretended to read a book on reparations so the other leftists would think she supported and/or cared about reparations.
This is who progressives are. They virtue signal over whatever they are told their deep-rooted belief is that week. Yet, get them under oath and/or take away their federal funding, and all of a sudden, they don't remember what they believe. Which says nothing about Maher's blatant and bitter partisanship as she runs what is supposed to be an unbiased and public broadcasting channel.
If nothing else, DOGE is exposing the left's true colors. And you love to see it.
