An MSNBC writer blasted New York City Mayor Eric Adams as "Black Trump" Sunday for his speech raising concerns about the migrant crisis that has been taking the city by storm, calling it "bigoted thinking" inspired by the right.

"But there’s a reason Adams’ rant is being applauded by conservatives… Maybe it’s because [conservatives] feel they’ve made him… come around to their bigoted thinking," said Ja'han Jones, a writer for MSNBC's The ReidOut Blog, the "digital extension" of Joy Reid's primetime show.

Jones is basically saying it’s impossible for Adams to think for himself.

Adams, who proudly claimed that New York was a "sanctuary city," said last week that migrants flooding into the City "will destroy New York City," prompting Jones to compare Adams to the former president.

Jones blasted Adams for "parroting right-wing talking points and espousing conservative politics" on immigration.

“That has led some of his critics to label him “Black Trump.” And he lived up to the moniker Thursday with an anti-immigrant diatribe that sounded as if it had been ripped from the former president’s social media feed,” Jones said.

Adams has said the migrant influx could cost the city $12 billion in the next three years. And that they have been forced to cut budgets, including cutting police overtime in half as the department battles an increase in crime.

Liberals ignore the real issues at hand and resort to ad hominem attacks and racial slurs to try and defend their agenda. But you know someone has lost the debate when they have to resort to insults as their last resort.

But democrats know that migrants are contributing to the downfall of New York and they can’t afford to lose votes as they feel their grip tapering off.

Polls show that Biden is losing more support among Black voters.

According to Forbes, “Biden’s favorability ratings among Black voters have shifted from 84% right after he took office in 2021 to 74% at the end of March 2023.”

But don’t forget, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for [Biden] or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

I think the funniest thing is, Adams is NOTHING like Trump. He will blame just about everyone but himself as he contributes to New York’s downfall. Instead of deporting migrants, he lets them run a muck and commit crimes as he slashes critical budgets like the police department. And subsequently jeopardize the safety of American citizens.

“One hundred ten thousand migrants we have to feed, clothe, house, educate the children, wash their laundry sheets, give them everything they need, health care,” Adams said.

Uh no, you absolutely do not and that is definitely not something Trump would do.

Trump says “America First,” but Adams says ‘Migrant First.’

We can at least be sure this is probably not what Adams signed up for when he declared New York a “sanctuary city.”
