Two NYC Squatters Wanted For Beating A Woman To Death. Stuffing Her In A Duffel Bag Inside Her Late Mother's Apartment

In New York City, it has become the status quo for squatters to be afforded private property rights through eminent domain, and authorities don’t typically bat an eye once an individual claims to be a tenant. And by claiming to be a tenant, all someone has to do is say the words “I am a tenant.” And magically, it is turned into a civil matter that is postponed through the courts in perpetuity.
Although it now appears to be rather easy for someone to move in while you are at work and take over the rights of your home, it also takes an immoral person to do that. Because people who have the slightest moral compass or even a drop of empathy would not do something like that. A “squatter” is reserved for the scummiest of people who lack values. So the fact that lawmakers think it’s compassionate to afford degenerate tenant rights when they deserve none of that, is the cruelest thing you can do to law-abiding citizens. Since only deranged individuals will benefit from such an abhorrent law.
And ironically, this is a horrifying example of that.
An innocent woman’s mother passed away. Subsequently, she went to clean out her late mother’s apartment. But the last thing she was expecting was to find two squatters living in the unit. And unfortunately, that realization would cost her her life.
Last week, the body of Nadia Vitel was found stuffed in a duffel bag in a NYC apartment.
Nadia flew to New York to clean out her late mother's home months after she died.
When she got to NY, squatters were living inside… and then allegedly kiIIed her.

According to The New York Post:
Two squatters are being sought over the gruesome murder of a 52-year-old woman whose body was found stuffed in a duffel bag inside her late mother’s upscale Manhattan apartment last week, police said Thursday.
The victim, Nadia Vitel, was savagely beaten by the two perps when she discovered them holed up inside the 19th-floor apartment on East 31st Street last week, according to cops.
Having just flown in from Spain, Vitel had gone to her late mom’s apartment — which had been vacant for roughly three to four months — to start prepping it so a family friend could move in.
“We believe that some squatters took the apartment over and this woman came home … and walked in on the squatters that were there,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
Question: What if this woman called the police to report these perps in her home? Because I hardly doubt they would do much of anything besides tell her that this is a “civil” matter.
The brutal beatdown left Vitel with blunt force trauma to the head, multiple facial fractures, a brain bleed and two broken ribs, cops said.
The perps — whom the NYPD hasn’t identified publicly — were seen on surveillance video fleeing the apartment after the slaying and taking off in the dead woman’s Lexus SUV.
They fled across the George Washington Bridge through New Jersey to Pennsylvania, where they ultimately crashed the SUV in Lower Paxton Township, cops said.
Cops said the squatters, who remained on the lam Thursday, had visited several local car dealerships in the aftermath of the wreck to try to buy a new car for $1,000.
It is unclear how the couple knew the apartment was vacant and/or how they got in there since there is no front door and only accessible by a protected elevator access. But if you live in New York City, it’s probably best to wait to publish an obituary until you sell and/or get everything taken care of on the vacant property.
The woman’s body was found by her brother. He was getting increasingly worried since he had not heard from her in over two days and he knew she was there because they shared each other's location. So he went to the apartment to see what was going on and discovered her in the duffle bag because a foot was sticking out of it.
For some reason, squatter rights kick in in New York after 30 days. Which is hardly the status quo for the rest of the country. But it appears that these people don’t even have to rent anything for 30 days. All they have to do is make the claim that they have. But one month is asinine to begin with, especially because all someone has to do is stop paying rent after four weeks and postpone the case in the courts for years and years. And even if they are finally evicted after who knows how long, it is not like they face any consequences. Honestly, I doubt they even have to pay back rent.
But this story is incredibly sad. It’s hard enough losing a parent. It’s hard enough cleaning out your mom’s home after she passed away. But no one thinks doing so may cost you your life. This should have never happened and it’s incredibly infuriating because local lawmakers de facto fuel these situations and make it more common than not.
Not even ten years ago, many people never even heard of the term squatter unless they were at the gym. And now, we are seeing more and more brazen and heartbreaking stories all the time. It is incomprehensible and needs to end.
People are being represented by officials who could care less about protecting Americans and their freedoms.
