It’s often the case that Conservative parents worry about sending their kids off to college, as the risk of becoming a radical progressive is far too high. However, it’s not every day that students come home with a MAGA hat.

The New York Times published an article titled “When Your Son Goes MAGA.” This article is intended to highlight the nonexistent epidemic of college students bringing home a red MAGA hat. However, this still happens to at least several liberal moms and the NYT has given them the platform they need to complain about these issues.

According to the NYT:

When Eli brought a “Make America Great Again” hat home from college this summer, Ms. Behr threw it into the corner of his bedroom. They argued about guns, immigration and abortion, struggling to do so without permanently damaging their relationship.

“facts don’t matter to you,” Ms. Behr wrote in a moment of frustration during one text exchange about Mr. Trump’s legal battles. “love you. have a good day.”

A few months removed from Mr. Trump’s victory, the two have arrived at an impasse. Ms. Behr worries her son is being swayed by conservative opinions fed to him on YouTube and Instagram. Eli feels like he is simply learning to think for himself — a quality he admires in Mr. Trump.

This mom should be proud that she raised her son to think for himself, as the last thing anyone wants is a naive buffoon taking TikTok influencers' opinions as Gospel.

When you are constantly overwhelmed with woke professors telling students they are the problems for things that don’t even exist, such as the Patriarchy, that does not tend to end well.

Would she rather he despised himself like all the other leftist lunatics?

Some liberal parents aren’t so sure they should try to intervene. Plenty see their sons’ embrace of Mr. Trump as an expected act of rebellion, or a choice made by an independent young adult that they should respect. For others, it has felt like a painful rejection of the values they have tried to instill in their children.

LOL. What values? Open borders? Taxing Americans into oblivion? Empowering the bureaucracy while Americans are treated as second-class citizens? It sounds like this kid has a good head on his shoulders and this mom should be proud of him.

Before 2020, Chris and Melanie Morlan, who both lean Democratic and live in Spokane, Wash., had mostly heard their son echo political beliefs that resembled their own. He began to sound different around the time of Black Lives Matter protests in Portland and Seattle, Ms. Morlan said, which he told her had gotten too out of control. He began listening to YouTube channels like Better Bachelor, which disparages feminism and diversity, equity and inclusion. (Its host also cheers on Mr. Trump.)

How does the NYT even find these people?

These parents are so ridiculous, as proven by their outrage over reasonable political beliefs. This should be the least of their worries but I would bet it lives rent-free in their minds.

More people switched from the left to the right this election and it has everything to do with what the Dems stand for, which is nothing but chaos and destruction. So while Trump made it clear he is all in it for Americans, the left lectured voters on things no one cares about, and that is probably why Eli came home with a MAGA hat.
