As President Obama goes around the world doing whatever the opposite of "victory lap" is, he's been engaging in a few town halls. We talked about one recently where a Muslim transgender "came out" to Obama. This is our world. To call it sad is an understatement. At that same event, Obama had some interesting comments about #BlackLivesMatter...

He praised the movement as “really effective in bringing attention to problems,” but said young activists should be more willing to work with political leaders to craft solutions instead of criticizing from outside the political process.

“Once you’ve highlighted an issue and brought it to people’s attention and shined a spotlight, and elected officials or people who are in a position to start bringing about change are ready to sit down with you, then you can’t just keep on yelling at them,” Obama said.

“And you can’t refuse to meet because that might compromise the purity of your position,” he continued. “The value of social movements and activism is to get you at the table, get you in the room, and then to start trying to figure out how is this problem going to be solved.”

Let's take away the fact that the Obama Administration is at least 50% responsible for the atmosphere that shuns compromise and talking to people you disagree with. Or comments like Trayvon Martin being the son he never had. Yeah, he's incredibly polarizing. Okay? Okay.

The bigger point Obama makes is actually spot on.

There is a lot - a lot - we disagree with #BlackLivesMatter on, but that's ok. That's America. There ain't no good guys, there ain't to bad guys. There's only you and me and we just disagree.

But when you start your argument with "you're racist, now let's talk" you can't be surprised when people don't want to listen to you. The monumental thing is Obama is in agreement with us. I mean...whoa. How whiny, lame, and pathetic do you have to get for Obama to lecture you on how to get what you want?

Yes, I can still hear you screaming at me. Obama is a leftist who has damaged the country. I AGREE. But big picture here. Obama just lectured Black Lives Matter. Take what you will from that then move on. They've whined, demanded and made general fools out of themselves so badly, even Obama, aggravator in chief, is telling them to tone it down.

Of course it would've been better had Obama gone to the teleprompter to say "If Id have had a clique growing up, it wouldn't have been Black Lives Matter." Then obviously he'd pivot to fairness, equality, guns are evil. Blah blah roads. Blah blah bridges. Meh the one percent. But he didn't say that, nor will he. Sure, this was perhaps his way of telegraphing to Black Lives Matter that they're even annoying him now, and if they want to get what they want, maybe it's time to tone down their collective impressions of spoiled children who either get sucked up the chocolate river tube or turn into a blueberry.

Name that movie.

But for now, I want the world I want the whole world.
