President Barack Obama gave his final speech to the UN yesterday. Naturally, he said something moronic about Israel. Again, that is (see Obama Blames Palestinian Crisis... On Jews Being Wealthy). One could say it's a formality at this point. But this time? Obama tried to stay neutral as he talked about the conflict between Palestine and Israel. Keyword here being "tried"...

Barack Obama has told Israel it cannot permanently occupy and settle on Palestinian land in a speech to the United Nations.

"Surely Israelis and Palestinians will be better off if Palestinians reject incitement and recognize the legitimacy of Israel," he said on Tuesday. "But Israel must recognize that it cannot permanently occupy and settle Palestinian land."

He added: "We all have to do better as leaders in tamping down, rather than encouraging a notion of identity that leads us to diminish others."

Remember how I said Obama tried to be neutral? Yeah, I lied. He didn't try at all. Also, notice how he said leaders must not "diminish others"... Then goes on to do exactly that. To Israel.

Israel to blame?

Palestine's hatred of Israel? Not news. Hence the list above. It's why Obama's remarks are a festering pile of stupid. Palestinians murder and terrorize Jews... Simply for being Jews. Our President's response? Sure, Palestine could be a little nicer. Maybe they could lighten up on the Jew stabbing fetish. But Israel? They're the ones who really need to change. See, according to him, Israel impedes on Palestine. Not the other way around. So it's really all Israel's fault, because they're the ones who should just leave. And maybe stop existing altogether.

Leftists like Obama see Israel as an oppressive force in the Middle East. Think of Israel as the "one percent" and the Middle Eastern Islamic countries as the "99 percent." Becoming clearer now?

Look, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. After all, Obama has a bit of a track record when it comes to hating on Israel. (see The Difference Between Obama and All Previous Presidents on Israel...) The problem? Israel is struggling to make something of itself as a civilized nation in the face of terrorism and murder. Meanwhile, Palestine? Well, they're pretty behind the curve. As tends to be the case with majorly Islamic countries in the Middle East.

Again, Israel? One percent. Rest of the Middle East? 99 percent. In the leftist world view, therefore, one must be actively OPPRESSING the other to get their advantage. Except no. Israel is doing what it can to survive. The Middle Eastern Islamic countries? They're trying to blow Israel off the face of the earth. But right, Israel is the one who needs to tone it down with their "occupation." Okay.
